DSI’s Downtown Architectural Walking Tour

Lincoln’s law office was in this building above the Tinsley Grocery Store.

DSI’s popular and free architecture walking tour will fascinate people of all ages. The 1-1/2 hour walk is led by Anthony Rubano of the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency, who discusses downtown Springfield’s architectural styles, materials, and treatments. Rubano also points out design successes and areas for improvement along the way in an entertaining presentation that covers six different areas of downtown over the course of the season. Just as nice, a downtown establishment hosts the tour participants for a complimentary reception at the end of the walk. Cheers to that!

Thanks to the Illinois Realtors for being our 2017 season sponsor!
