Public Informational Meeting – Downtown Traffic Signal Modifications

Springfield, Illinois – The City of Springfield will hold an informational meeting concerning the proposed Downtown Traffic Signal Modernization and Operational Modifications project. The project includes improvements to 4th Street from Dodge Street to South Grand Avenue; 7th Street from North Grand Avenue to South Grand Avenue; and Adams Street from 6th Street to 9th Street.

There will be no formal presentation. Displays, including typical sections of roadways, paint pavement marking plans, and aerial mapping will be available for viewing during the entire time of the meeting. Representatives from the City of Springfield Office of Public Works and Knight Engineers and Architects will be available to answer questions and discuss the plan. Those who attend will be encouraged to complete a comment form or provide a verbal comment.
Free parking is available at metered spots around Lincoln Library after 5:00 p.m. Attendees may also park at the 7th and Monroe Street parking garage and have their ticket validated for free parking at the meeting. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend anytime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. The hearing room is accessible to persons with disabilities.
