We are a unique Casual fine dining restaurant located in The Saint Nicholas, a historic high-rise apartment building in the heart of downtown Springfield, Illinois. With our distinctive three price-point menu offerings, patrons can enjoy casual yet upscale dining at all levels. Come in for a romantic dinner for two, drop by with colleagues and friends for small plates, or converse over cocktails with the locals at The Bleu Bar while checking out events on our quiet TVs. We host meetings/events/parties for up to thirty guests in our private room, and larger events up to two hundred guests in the Saint Nicholas Ballroom. Step back in time and enjoy an evening where famous figures such as Ulysses S. Grant, Marilyn Monroe, and Presidents John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon have stayed.

The Alamo has served a casual lunch in historic downtown Springfield near the corner of 5th and Jefferson for over 40 years. Anything from tacos & salsa, to burgers & fries, to a chicken salad sandwich, this menu will please any taste.

Later on, cocktails are served at our full bar until 1AM and weekend nights are hopping with bands and DJs until 3AM. An outdoor beergarden is the best in town!

Upstairs you’ll find Downtown Golf, Springfield’s only golf simulator bar, so your golf game won’t get rusty during the cold weather. Call to reserve a tee time at 217-503-4065. We have two full simulators and a full service bar.

Every Monday evening is “Blue Monday”! The Illinois Central Blues Club brings acts from locales such as Memphis, Chicago and beyond to play at Alamo’s “Blue Monday”. The best live music deal anywhere! Bands 8PM-12AM.

On the 1st and 3rd Thursday each month is the “James Armstrong Presents” dinner hour from 5-9PM. There are different live Blues acts each 1st and 3rd Thursday evening and a full dinner menu available. The public is welcome.
