Celebrating Remarkable Women

March 14 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Free. Register online in advance. (Admission to the Museum is not included with this free session.)

Join the Presidential Library for this exciting youth program as we celebrate Women’s History Month with a twist! The fun takes place in the Multipurpose Room of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library.

Boys and girls alike will have the opportunity to participate in “Speed Dating” sessions with historical actors representing remarkable women of the past (and present) to learn more about their accomplishments.

As part of the event, they will analyze original records created by or about women. Participants conclude by creating a leadership caricature, showing what they hope to accomplish in the future.

Note that the St. Patrick’s Day Parade goes by the Library starting at noon this day. Check out road closures and other parade information.
