“There is no time to waste.” The murder of Emmett Till sent shockwaves across the nation. His mother and Chicago resident, Mamie Till-Mobley, made the powerful decision to show the nation the gruesome consequences of racism and injustice by showing her son’s open casket to the world. Join Benjamin Saulsberry from the Emmett Till Interpretive Center in a discussion of the Emmett Till Tragedy and its legacy, its connection to the Civil Rights Movement, and the Interpretive Center’s work towards racial healing. Saulsberry will be presenting live from the Tallahatchie County Court Room where the trial of those accused of murdering Emmett Till took place in 1955.Advanced registration is required at https://bit.ly/EmmettTill-Journey.
