Hey guys, I need your opinion. Yesterday after a short drive I noticed a light but very distinct burning smell from under the hood. It wasn’t smoke, just an odor that reminded me of overheated rubber or oil. The strange thing is that the car drives normally — no warning lights, no major noises, nothing obvious.

I had almost the same situation last year. At first it seemed harmless, but the smell kept returning, especially after longer drives. In my case, it turned out to be related to transmission fluid overheating. I ended up going to VIP Service Center, and I’m glad I did. They performed a full inspection and explained that even a small leak or degraded fluid can create that sharp burnt odor. What I liked was how clearly they described the process and showed me what was happening instead of just giving a bill. If you want to understand possible transmission-related causes and why burning smell from car, they also have details here: https://www.vip-servicecenter.com/services/transmission-service . After servicing, the smell disappeared completely. The car felt smoother too, especially during gear shifts. From my experience, it’s better to diagnose early rather than wait for a bigger failure.
